Who is new to the cast of THE MUSIC OF THE SECONDARY: THE MUSIC: THE SERIES?
In the second season of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”, the East High Wildcats, who are preparing to perform “Beauty and the Beast” as a spring musical, face off against rival school North High to win. a prestigious and fierce. student theater competition. Wigs are ripped off, loyalties are tested and ballads are belted.

Ahead of the premiere, BroadwayWorld celebrates new cast members including Andrew Barth Feldman, Roman Banks (two Broadway Evan Hansens!), Olivia Rose Keegan, Asher Angel and Derek Hough.
The cast of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” also includes Olivia Rodrigo, Joshua Bassett, Matt Cornett, Sofia Wylie, Larry Saperstein, Julia Lester, Dara Reneé, Frankie Rodriguez, Joe Serafini, Mark St. and Kate Reinders.

In the second season of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”, Andrew Barth Feldman plays “Antoine”, a French foreign exchange student at rival high school North High, who can’t help but flirt with Ashlyn.
After winning the 2018 National High School Musical Theater Award (aka the Jimmy Award) in his sophomore year in high school, Barth Feldman made his Broadway debut a year later as the main character in the musical “Dear Evan Hansen,” Tony Award winner. Barth Feldman, who will attend Harvard University next year, also runs a theater company he founded at the age of twelve, Zneefrock Productions. Zneefrock Productions partners with theater with advocacy, raising funds for several charitable causes.
Derek Hough plays “Zack,” a charming but edgy former high school idiot who, after a successful acting career in New York City, returns to Salt Lake to teach acting to East High’s biggest rival, North High.
Emmy Award winner, New York Times bestselling author and “World of Dance” judge began dancing in her hometown of Salt Lake City, UT, at the age of 11. In 2020, Hough joined the hit ABC series “Dancing with the Stars” as part of the jury alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Toniolo for the show’s 29th season. A multi-talented artist and the only six-time franchise champion, Hough had previously starred in the series as a professional dancer.
Roman Banks plays “Howie” in the second season of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”. Howie is a super smart, bespectacled and functional high school student. Snarky but full of heart, Howie has an after school job as a delivery guy for the Big Red family’s pizza place, Salt Lake Slices.
Lining for the characters of Evan, Jared and Connor in “Dear Evan Hansen” on Broadway, Banks made history in December 2019 as the first African-American Evan Hansen.
Olivia Rose Keegan plays “Lily”. Lily is an energetic and lovable East High student whose gentleness masks her highly competitive nature.
Keegan recently received a Daytime Emmy Award for her role as Claire Brady in a long series titled “Days of our Lives”. She has been singing and performing since the tender age of seven and is also known for her lead role in the family movie “Salvation Street” and her guest roles on Disney Channel’s “ANT Farm”, “Sam & Cat” and “The Thundermans. “from Nickeloedeon. and the feature film “Decoding Annie Parker”, starring Helen Hunt, Aaron Paul, Samantha Morton and Rashida Jones.
Asher Angel plays “Jack”, a charming and sweet student with the urge to travel.
Best known for his lead role as “Jonah Beck” on the award-winning Disney Channel series “Andi Mack,” singer-songwriter Angel recently released his debut single “One Thought Away,” starring Wiz Khalifa. He starred as Billy Batson in the Warner Brothers DC Universe feature film “Shazam !,” the young alter-ego of the titular Zachary Levi character and will reprise the role in “Shazam! Fury of the Gods.
