Tribeca Festival 2021 TV lineup: Tina Fey, KISS, Dr Death, Blindspotting, David Makes Man

Tribeca Festival 2021 to host world premieres of a number of upcoming TV series, including Peacock’s Dr. Death, Starz’s Blindspotting and the second season of OWN’s David made the man.
The festival will also present a world premiere of AMC Kevin Can F ** k himself, with Annie Murphy; Disney + Monsters at work – with a voice cast with Ben Feldman, Mindy Kaling, Billy Crystal, John Goodman, Henry Winkler, Lucas Neff and Alanna Ubach – and The mysterious Benedictine society, with Tony Hale and Kristen Schaal, among others; FX Reservation dogs; and the National Geographic 9/11 Docuseries One day in America, marking the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks, in conjunction with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum.
The festival will also feature the world premiere of A&E’s KISS biography, followed by a special performance by the iconic rock band.
the Blindspotting, David makes the man, Dr Death and Reservation dogs screenings will be followed by conversations with the talent behind the series.
the Blindspotting panel, for the series based on the film of the same name, will star Rafael Casal, Jasmine Cephas Jones and Helen Hunt. the Dr. Death The panel, for the series inspired by the Wondery podcast, will feature cast members Joshua Jackson, Christian Slater and Grace Gummer, showrunner Patrick Macmanus and director Maggie Kiley. the David made the man The panel will include a conversation with creator Tarell McCraney and showrunner Dee Harris-Lawrence. the Reservation dogs The panel will feature executive producer Sterlin Harjo and some of the cast.
The Tribeca Festival also hosted a panel discussion with longtime collaborators Tina Fey, Robert Carlock, Meredith Scardino and Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Mr. Mayor, Girls 5 Eva).
“When we launched Tribeca TV five years ago, we created a space within the film festival to recognize the incredible and boundary-pushing work done by filmmakers in the episodic format as official festival selections,” said declared Cara Cusumano, director of the festival and vice-president of programming. “In a year defined by home entertainment, we are proud to continue this tradition with an exciting lineup from Tribeca TV of new series from today’s top storytellers and unique new voices.”
Senior Programmer Liza Domnitz added, “We are delighted to be back in person and present a specially curated selection of independent series at this year’s Festival. Eclectic, funny and melancholy, these untold stories offer a glimpse into life through decades of adulthood – from the wave of independence found in your twenties, to the well-earned confidence that comes with life in the ’80s.
