Three arrests after young mum was dragged from car at knife threat in Gorton as her little son sat in the back
Two teenagers and a 21-year-old man were arrested after a young mother was dragged out of her car in front of her baby boy at the threat of a knife.
The terrifying carjacking in Gorton has been filmed.
the Manchester Evening News recounted how Courtney Slater, 21, and her boyfriend traveled to the area for a reunion after they organized the sale of pairs of sunglasses on Snapchat.
Her boyfriend had agreed to meet a man who told him he would buy them.
After getting out of their car to show her the glasses, Courtney recounted how three hooded men “appeared out of nowhere” before one of them put a knife in her throat and ordered her out of her room. Renault.
She managed to grab her two-year-old son, Lekai, in a backseat before the three thieves drove away.
Now police have revealed that three men, aged 17, 18 and 21, were arrested on suspicion of theft.

All three remain in custody for questioning, Greater Manchester Police said.
Detective Sergeant Helen Fletcher said: “This was a brazen and cowardly attack on a young woman and her very young son.
“Fortunately, the two weren’t injured, but it’s understandable that they are incredibly shaken and scared.
“Agents of GMP’s Operation Valiant team worked around the clock over the weekend and followed several lines of inquiry to ensure those responsible for this terrifying ordeal were brought to justice.
“I am happy to say that we now have three men in custody for questioning, but I would like to stress that our investigation remains ongoing and we ask anyone with information on this incident to contact the police as a matter of urgency. “
Police said investigations were continuing and issued a new call for information.
Speaking to Manchester Evening News , Courtney said: “He [her boyfriend] thought they were going to buy the glasses.
“He was showing her the glasses and the man said he didn’t know if he wanted them.
“Then people came out of nowhere next to the car and tried to stab my boyfriend. They started chasing him with the knife and we didn’t realize that one of them was left behind.
“He had the knife under my throat in front of my two year old in the back of my car.
“I started screaming and crying. As long as my child was safe, that was all that bothered me.”
The carjacking occurred on Clumber Road, Gorton, around 7:10 p.m. on June 17th.
The car was later found abandoned on Manby Road, Gorton, but Courtney said her phone, house keys and car keys were all missing.
