Levittown – Therese L. Focht of Levittown, Pennsylvania, died this week after an eight-year battle with early-onset Alzheimer’s disease. Terry was only 62 years old. Terry is survived by her caregiver and husband of 40 years, Bud Focht, and their three children, Heidi Focht (Jose) of Allentown, NJ, AJ Focht (Jumana) of Levittown, PA, and Amy Schaub (Tom) of Bristol. , PA , with her granddaughter Lily Mae Schaub. Terry was predeceased by her father, Gerard Larivee of Pawtucket, RI. She will be deeply missed by her mother, Helen Larivee of Pawtucket, RI and her nine siblings: Pauline Noury (Paul) of Fall River, MA, Normand Larivee (Rebecca) of Bloomfield, NM, Robert Larivee (Susan) of Meyersdale, PA, Sr. Rita Larivee, SSA of Montreal, Denise Lanza (Michael) of Albuquerque, NM, Jeannette Hoag (Charles) of Boerne, TX, George Larivee of Concord, MA, Irene Mortimer (Tim) of So. Attleboro, MA and Michael Larivee (Ashish) of Bedford, MA. Also sister-in-law Barbara Focht of Levittown, as well as dozens of nieces, nephews and cousins. Terry grew up in Pawtucket, RI as a dedicated basketball fan of the Red Sox, Patriots and Providence College. She was a local tennis star, winning numerous city championships at Slater Park. She then played number one singles for four years on the Rhode Island College varsity tennis team. After graduating, she got married and moved to Levittown. Terry taught adult aerobics and children’s gymnastics (Gym Jam) at the Lower Bucks Family YMCA in the 1980s and 1990s and ran the Y’s summer sports camp. ‘Immaculate Conception CYO and taught physical education and computer science at Queen of the Universe Elementary School. She also worked at the Oxford Valley Mall Sears and the Physicians Weight Center in Bristol before becoming disabled. Terry grew up a devout Catholic and raised her children the same way. In 2003, Terry rechristened herself, this time dedicating her life to studying and sharing with others the teachings of Jesus Christ and her Father, Jehovah. Terry was very proud to be a member of the Levittown East Congregation of Witnesses. The services will be private. Condolences can be sent to [email protected]
