To determine the most interesting series you can stream right now, 24/7 Tempo has developed an index based on several measures of IMDb, an Amazon-owned online movie database and streaming guide Reelgood. The index consists of each movie’s IMDb user rating, the total audience votes on IMDb, and the Reelgood rating. Each measure has been weighted equally. Only shows with at least 1,000 IMDb votes, broadcast on television for at least four years and available for streaming on major services from June 2021 were taken into account. The data was collected in June 2021.
Information on the start year, average episode length and cast comes from IMDb. The information on the main streaming services for each series comes from Reelgood and Decision maker, a pop culture website run by the New York Post. When several services broadcast a series, those which offer the most seasons or episodes are indicated. Seasons that have been announced or produced but not yet aired have not been included. For shows that are still running, the number of episodes will change. Also note that availability on various platforms changes frequently.
Perhaps the most worthy show of all is “Game of Thrones”, HBO’s fantasy drama based on George RR Martin’s bestselling book series “A Song of Ice and Fire”. There’s a lot going on in “Game of Thrones” and it’s definitely not a show about nothing.
