Paradise Center for the Arts is still looking for life members
Heidi Nelson, executive director of Paradise Center for the Arts (PCA) told KDHL AM Minnesota listeners today that they are 34 lifetime memberships away from their goal of 100.
Nelson says they called the campaign “The 100 Club”. A lifetime membership is $ 2,500 per person. “It’s wonderful for people because there are no more dues. You know, one of the smartest things is that a young couple became a life member because they said for them that it was a win-win. No membership fees the rest of their lives. It’s a really good thing people can do. “
The “Club 100” was designed to raise the $ 250,000 needed by the APC to receive an equivalent amount from the Town of Faribault to repay its mortgage.
Nelson also spoke about some upcoming events. Friday, July 16, 2021, there’s a “Summer Comedy Showcase,” she pointed out, “Starts at 7:30 pm Nathan Smesrud and six fabulous comedians. R-rated so leave those kids at home. Then the next thing that is happening is “Super Duos” and it is happening Friday July 23, 7:30 pm “
“Then the Merlin Players do a ‘Present Laughter’ production which should be so much fun. Nelson added, “Tickets for the Super Duos cost $ 25 for non-members. $ 20 for members, so there you go, $ 15 for students. Once again, become a member of the Paradise Center for the Arts. If you go to 10 shows that you paid for because you get $ 5 off your ticket. “
Summer Comedy Showcase tickets cost $ 20 per person across the board. There are no student tickets as this is an adults-only show. “
There is no longer a capacity limit and Nelson said, “We are busy almost every weekend at the Paradise Center for the Arts. There is something for everyone. There is theater, music. , comedy shows and we can’t wait to be back open and see the smiling faces of the people. It’s wonderful the support we’ve received. “
Nelson went on to say, “If you don’t want to become a Life or 100 Club member, there are many other ways to become a member. This saves you money on your tickets. Gives you the opportunity to help us. An individual membership costs $ 50 per year. Family memberships only $ 75. We have some of the lowest membership rates in our region. “
A corporate subscription costs $ 250.
