Panto’s Return Home – Oh yes it does!

The Stephen Joseph Theater in Scarborough has launched a way to see their pantomime in your living room.
A brand new cinematic capture of the Stephen Joseph Theater Christmas 2021 show, Jack and the Beanstalk, is available on the SJT website until midnight Monday, January 31, 2022.
Jack and the Beanstalk is live on the SJT stage until December 31, although performances through December 24 inclusive have been canceled due to Covid-related absences.
Now the theater has released the filmed version for the audience to watch at home.
Cinematographer Daniel Abell says:
âWe want you to see the audience, to feel like you’re sitting there. We try to give you the best seat in the house!
Tickets for the film are £ 12 each, with a group ticket available at £ 15.
The theater says:

Jack and the Beanstalk is adapted by Nick Lane from the story of Benjamin Tabart and others, with music and lyrics by Simon Slater. Gemma Fairlie directs a cast consisting of Jacob Butler, Jessica Dennis, Sheri Lineham, Alicia Mckenzie and Loris Scarpa. The design is by Helen Coyston and the lighting design by Paul Stear. The casting director is Sarah Hughes CDG.
