‘Man of Steel’ was almost set in the ‘Dark Knight’ universe

According to director Zack Snyder, there was once a possibility of his 2013 movie Superman Steel man set in Christopher Nolan’s Black Knight cinematographic universe. In a recent interview with MTV’s Josh Horowitz on his podcast, Happy sad confused, Snyder revealed that put Steel man in the same cinematic universe as The black Knight was actually a possibility.
âIt wasn’t 100% off the table. We talked about it a bit, âSnyder said. However, the ultimate reason this idea ended up in the developmental stages was due to The dark knight rises‘finishing. Nolan’s latest film Batman The trilogy ends with John Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) taking over from Batman to Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale).
Yes Steel man became a continuation of The dark knight rises, that would pose a problem when Superman (Henry Cavill) faced off against the Caped Crusader in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Superman would end up fighting with the lesser known John Blake, not Bruce Wayne. âMaybe that’s why we didn’t do it,â Snyder said. âIt would have been Joseph. Which could have been cool.
When all has been said and done, The black Knight The trilogy has remained a standalone DC film series. Nolan was known to be protective over the set of superhero movies, but in Snyder’s opinion, it was for the best. âI don’t blame him,â Snyder said. “I like that his thing isn’t muddled by those other touches.” With a new start, Steel man revived the DC Cinematic Universe, paving the way for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League.
