Kenan Thompson celebrates his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Saturday Night Live prefer, Kenan thompson, is more than thrilled with his Hollywood Walk of Fame induction, as seen in a celebratory post shared on social media. Last week, the full inductee roster was revealed for the Walk of Fame class of 2022, which will bring around 38 new names in total to the famous catwalk. Thompson’s name was included in the TV category, as he is currently best known for his Emmy-winning work on Saturday Night Live.
Grateful for the honor, Thompson acknowledged the news on Instagram. In the post, Thompson includes an image of himself with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen plastered on his face. He also wrote a message congratulating his fellow inductees while thanking his supporters and everyone who helped him become the star of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. You can check out the post below.

A former child star, Thompson first rose to fame in the early 1990s as a member of the cast of the children’s comedy series. All that on Nickelodeon. Between 1996 and 2000, Thompson and his All that co-star Kel Mitchell starred in their own sitcom Nickelodeon Kenan & Kel, and the couple would also star in the Nick Good Burger movie. Thompson is also known for his appearance in the Mighty ducks movie franchise and playing in Fat Albert in 2004.
Fans will know Thompson better for his time on Saturday Night Live, because he currently holds the record for the oldest actor in the series’ dated history. He’s been featured prominently on the show since 2003, and although he’s been directing his own sitcom from Kenan, Thompson remained part of the Saturday Night Live family. He has been nominated for an Emmy four times for Saturday Night Live, winning the award in 2018.
Byron Allen, Greg Berlanti, Ricky Gervais, Peter Krause, Bob Odenkirk, Holly Robinson-Peete, Norman Reedus, Tracee Ellis Ross, Jean Smart and Ming are inducted into the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2022 in the Television category alongside Thompson. Na Wen. In the Film category, new inductees include Francis Ford Coppola, Macaulay Culkin, Willem Dafoe, Salma Hayek, James Hong, Helen Hunt, Michael B. Jordan, Regina King, Ray Liotta, Ewan McGregor, Adam McKay, Jason Momoa, Tessa Thompson and Carrie Fisher.
For more on Thompson, he can be seen in the upcoming film adaptation of Clifford the big red dog, which hits theaters on September 17, 2021. It will also appear in the upcoming Alone at home reboot which is in the works at Disney +.
