Helen Preece Joins Greenslade Taylor Hunt Antiques Auction
JEWELERY, Watches & Silverware Helen Preece has just joined the Greenslade Taylor Hunt Antiques Auction House team in Taunton.
Ms Preece has always had an interest in antiques, especially jewelry, and when she was young she frequented London markets with her aunt who was an avid collector.
Her love of jewelry blossomed further when she began her career in a mass-market jewelry store, which made bespoke items and carried out repairs.
“I love the history of antiques, especially jewelry,” said Ms. Preece, who cites art deco and Victorian designs as her favorites.
Prior to joining Greenslade Taylor Hunt, she successfully ran a jewelry, silverware and watches department for another auction house.
She also has a fondness for silver and the charms of costume jewelry and appreciates jewelry from all eras.
She is especially thrilled with a diamond and ruby pendant necklace, which will feature in the antique sale on December 2.
This early 20th century old-fashioned cut diamond ruby and seed bead pendant set in platinum and gold has a pre-sale guide of £ 650 to £ 850 and is said to top many Christmas gift lists.
Ms. Preece is available for consultations in the Octagon, East Reach, Taunton auction rooms every Tuesday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Non-binding appointments are free, but must be booked in advance.
