Helen Mirren wears extra-long hair extensions at Cannes premiere
Helen Mirren enjoyed a red carpet appearance at the Cannes Film Festival this week.
The 76-year-old Oscar-winning actress stunned at the screening of ‘Mother and Son (A Little Brother)’ on Friday, wearing a long-sleeved dress with silver sequins and tinsel. While her sparkly dress made a statement, Mirren turned heads with her extra-long hair extensions and dark eyeliner.
The actor is known for his perfectly styled short hairstyle, but instead opted for waist-length long white locks for the special occasion.
Mirren fully embraced the look and was seen dancing and dancing on the red carpet. At one point, she grabbed actor Andie MacDowell and twirled him around as photographers caught the two having fun.
That night, Mirren was accompanied by her husband Taylor Hackford.
Last month, Mirren was the cover star of People’s Beautiful 2022 issue, becoming the oldest celebrity to achieve the honor. She also wore a silver metallic ensemble for the shoot.
“I was absolutely amazed, as they say in England,” the actor told the magazine of his selection. “I never thought of myself as ‘beautiful’. And (at) my age! So I was surprised.
In the accompanying interview, the ‘F9: The Fast Saga’ star said she had mixed feelings about the word “beautiful.” Instead, she loves the word “swagger.”
“Because I think swagger means ‘I have confidence in myself, I present myself to the world, I enjoy the world around me,'” she explained. “I think what’s called the beauty industry should be called the swagger industry. We give people swagger.
