Helen Mirren appears on ‘The Tonight Show’ from her bathtub
The interview with Helen Mirren on Thursday’s episode “The Tonight Show” certainly had Jimmy Fallon in a foam.
The decorated actor appeared from a distance from his bathtub. After Fallon introduced her, she appeared onscreen, sitting in her tub, covered in bubbles.
“You are the greatest – ever! Fallon said. “Oh my God. He’s the biggest.
“I am in my favorite place in the world,” she said.
“You could be the first guest to be in a tub on ‘The Tonight Show’ as a guest,” he said.
“The Tonight Show” returned with a live audience in March and has since had studio guests, but Oscar winner Emmy and Tony, who stars in the upcoming “F9” movie, was content to relax. at home.
And while some people may have suffered the embarrassment of being caught pantless on a virtual call during the pandemic, Mirren, 75, said she embraced the idea of letting everyone know how comfortable she can feel.
“Well, you know, that’s what’s great about Zoom,” she said. “I was like, ‘Why not be where you like to sit and chat with people? I love chatting with my husband while I’m sitting in the tub. So why not do it all over America.
“Yes, that’s very smart. Why not? “Fallon replied, as her audience clapped.” That’s why you’re the best. “
She can get points for chilling out, but not everything was perfect with Mirren’s setup. She said Fallon barked a little too much before introducing her, which caused a little problem.
“I’m running out of bubbles, however,” she said. “That’s the problem. You were chatting and I was waiting and my bubbles were going down.
