Helen Hunt reveals why her ‘rejected’ kiss with Tom Hanks was anything but romantic
5 hours ago
Helen Hunt came through the studio for “The Kelly Clarkson Show” to promote her new series “Blindspotting”, and also discussed some of her past projects.
One of them was “Cast Away,” in which she played Tom Hanks’ character’s former girlfriend, the two sharing a passionate kiss in the rain when they reunite after he was rescued after having spent years on a desert island, and she’s long since moved.
However, as Hunt told host Kelly Clarkson, the shooting of the scene was much less romantic than it appeared on screen.
“For rain to appear on film, it has to be droplets the size of a cup of coffee. Like, it must be therefore a lot of rain, ”Hunt explained.

“It looked like Tornado was probably the star of this movie, and what good will the role be?” she said, but then revealed what had made her change her mind.
