Helen graduated in 1946 from Union City High School in Randolph County. Helen worked in the Kempers office in Union City for 7 years after graduation. With the purchase of a farm, its roles and responsibilities have greatly expanded. Later, in the family business, Helen was the central person for 20 years. Helen loved to travel, starting with trips to Michigan and other neighboring states when her family was young. These trips extended to most of the United States. Her most cherished and memorable trip was to the Hawaiian Islands in 1972. She loved spending time with her family and was always ready to help. She loved her flowers, inside and out, and loved gardening. She loved crafts and embroidery and shared these projects with her children. She loved baking and cooking, especially for the holidays.

Guests can visit Helen’s family on Wednesday, December 22 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. service at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. Interment at a later date in Union City cemetery.
