“Get away from sex forever!” Carol Vorderman wild Gyles Brandreth in a brutal jibe | Television & Radio | Showbiz and television

Maths whiz Carol Vorderman, 61, joined former MP and writer Gyles Brandreth again on Friday’s flagship Channel 4 show Celebrity Gogglebox. The two sat next to each other to watch The One That Got Away when Gyles made a joking comment while eating a banana. Laughing, Carol told the 74-year-old that he “took her away from sex”.
“The one that got away,” Gyles muttered, before taking a bite of the banana he was holding.
Former countdown presenter Carol burst out laughing at the bizarre act.
Gyles remarked, “I try to increase the erotic energy…”
Carol laughed before punching her pal: “You’re putting me off sex forever, Gyles by doing this. Having that banana.”

“You sound like my wife,” the reporter joked as the pair started laughing again.
The latest innuendo came when the two friends made their final appearance on Gogglebox, with their banter from previous weeks having a similar tone.
Recently, Carol deflected a naughty question from Gyles while they were watching Fifty Shades of Grey.
As they watched the famous adult film, a puzzled Gyles turned to Carol and asked her about her bedroom preferences.
As Carol started giggling again, he continued, “I’ve known you for 40 years, never asked you.”
“Are you a dominant? he repeated with determination.
Carol replied, “Is that an eight letter word?”, while her friend laughed and commented, “Very good.”
While Gyles has been on Celebrity Gogglebox before, this series was Carol’s debut on the popular show.
In the past, Gyles was paired with Dame Joanna Lumley.
Fans were thrilled to hear that Carol would be making an appearance a few weeks ago, and she’s been on the Friday night show ever since.
This season saw Carol make a return to the channel; which launched his career, although the two shows couldn’t be more different.
Carol is best known for presenting Countdown between 1982 and 2008, and her return to the broadcaster sees her getting up to watch narration rather than solving puzzles.
