Fan Made Christopher Reeve / Helen Slater Movie Scene – Superman Homepage

Superman fan Aaron Price of A Price Production has painstakingly assembled a fan montage of a scene involving Supergirl (Helen Slater) bidding farewell to her cousin Superman (Christopher Reeve), who he imagines may have been inserted at the end from the 1984 movie.
“Unfortunately, as many know, Christopher Reeve dropped out of the film, just before filming began, meaning we never got to see his Superman and Supergirl onscreen together.”
“So using my skills, I did a bit of editing and tried to play the ending scene, like an alternate reality where Reeve appeared in the movie. Ending with Supergirl saying goodbye to her cousin.
“When I thought about doing this, I wanted to use Superman 3but I found there weren’t enough proper shots to make it work. Superman IV suffered a similar problem. Although I’m using a Reeve backplane from Superman IV in this.”
“I finally settled on the balcony scene deleted from Superman 2 rather. I know Chris would have seemed a bit more mature had he been in super girl. However, it’s nice to think about what could have been. The lighting changes in some places, which will always be an issue between clips.
“Some of the sound clips are a bit rough, as it was difficult to find the right tone and sound clips to fit the scene. Without a doubt, if this had originally happened in the movie, the dialogue between the two would have been more touching. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this fantastic little alternate reality clip that I made. Feel free to like, comment and share!”
