DC fans freak out for first look at Supergirl’s costume in Flash movie
Director Andy Muschietti Keeps Teasing Flash by sharing previews of the super costumes worn by the film’s many heroes on social media. He previously revealed the Scarlet Speedster chest emblems by Ezra Miller and Michael Keaton’s Batman, and today he did the same for Sasha Calle’s Supergirl. Calle gets her big movie break with this gig, which will see her serve as the first big-screen incarnation of The Girl of Steel since Helen Slater in 1984. There was a lot of pressure on this movie to make her costume right, then, and so far it seems they have succeeded.
We only saw the torso of the costume, so it’s not clear at this time whether the DCEU Supergirl will go for pants or a skirt, but we can see that it is very closely related to the costume worn by Henry Cavill’s. Man of Steel, with the same Kryptonian Symbols decorating the S shield. The big innovation, however, is the use of a red section around the neck and shoulders. Fans really love what they see, with #TheFlash trending on Twitter as users react positively to this first glimpse.

This costume tease has led to a few theories developing on what comic book look Flash the film is influenced by. On the one hand, it could be Kara’s design in Crisis on Infinite Earths.
OH SHIT THEY MIX THE MAN OF STEEL DESIGN WITH THE CRISIS ON INFINITE EARTHS ONE 🤯

Alternatively, Calle’s current short black hair was reminiscent of Cir-El Supergirl. So maybe she won’t play Kara Zor-El at all.

One thing seems certain, however. She must be from the main DCEU universe like Kal-El from Cavill.

Could a look at Batfleck and / or the Reverse-Flash be next?
And you know Ben Affleck or Reverse Flash will be next. pic.twitter.com/dKQZPn6Jvl

Either way, Muschietti is doing a hell of a good job of making us vibrate for his film.
