Some great additions if you’re looking for something to watch!

We don’t have long to wait for Amazon Prime Video to add the Lord of the Rings prequel series, but before that, we have a few movies added to the library for you to check out, starting with…

AMELIE

This French romantic comedy-drama is one of the most adorable films ever made. Definitely worth the detour.

THE BELIEVER

Ryan Gosling stars in this drama based on a true story about a young Jewish man who begins to develop strong anti-Semitic views.

THE GRIMSBY BROTHERS

Sasha Baron Cohen and Mark Strong star in this terrible, terrible comedy. Avoid.

FANTASTIC CAPTAIN

After years of raising his children in the woods, a father (Viggo Mortensen) is forced to bring them all back to the “real” world.

RETREAT AS A COUPLE

Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Jon Favreau, Kristen Bell, Malin Akerman and Kristin Davis star in this comedy about a group of couples trying to work out their relationship issues on an island paradise.

DON’T MAKE ME GO

When he discovers he has a terminal illness, a father (John Cho) embarks on a road trip with his teenage daughter to reunite her with her estranged mother. You will cry.

ENDER’S MATCH

This 2013 sci-fi flick brought Harrison Ford back to the genre for the first time since Return of the Jedi. That’s about the only interesting thing about this otherwise messy movie about kids going to space war.

EXODUS: GODS AND KINGS

Ridley Scott directs this biblical epic starring Christian Bale as Moses and Joel Edgerton as Pharaoh Ramses. Fantastic visuals, but nothing else you’ve never seen better before.

THE FIGHTER

A brilliant sports drama starring Mark Wahlberg, Amy Adams and Christian Bale.

HOW IT ENDS

When she discovers a meteorite is about to end all life on Earth, a woman (Zoe Lister-Jones) takes stock of her life, which involves lots of random interactions with famous celebrities – from Helen Hunt to Glenn Howerton via Olivia Wilde.

THE IDEAS OF MARCH

George Clooney directs and stars in this political drama about a young staffer (Ryan Gosling) who takes a crash course in dirty politics once he starts working for a presidential candidate (Clooney).

THE ISLAND

The inhabitants of a post-apocalyptic base believe they are being transported safely to an idyllic island, but two of those present (Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson) discover that something much worse is going on. Michael Bay’s great sci-fi action thriller, it’s actually a silly but fun watch.

THE COUPLE OF LOVE

Pierce Brosnan and Emma Thompson star in this entertaining romantic comedy about a divorced couple trying to recoup the retirement money taken from them.

MADMAX 2

In the apocalyptic sequel, Mel Gibson takes on the most S&M-inspired villain of all time, Lord Humungous.

NIGHT HUNTER

Henry Cavill, Ben Kingsley and Alexandra Daddario star in this 2018 action thriller. We’ve never heard of it before. 14% on Rotten Tomatoes probably explains why.

PACIFIC RIM

Giant monsters are trying to kill the planet, and the only way to stop them is with giant robots, by punching them in the face.

PARKER

Jason Statham and Jennifer Lopez star in this fun action thriller.

QUARTET

Directed by Dustin Hoffman, this dramedy stars a great cast (Maggie Smith, Michael Gambon, Billy Connolly) as aging artists are a home for retired musicians.

TAMARA DREWE

A cute romantic comedy about a young newspaper writer (Gemma Arterton) who returns to her childhood home in the countryside before it goes on sale and reunites with old (and future?) flames.
